The international project MAESTRO-AI<\/strong>, aimed at stimulating innovative methods of teaching mathematics and programming, will be implemented by Bialystok University of Technology in collaboration with a consortium<\/a> of universities from Greece, Romania, and Portugal. The Faculty of Computer Science at Bialystok University of Technology will lead the project.<\/span><\/p>\n

What do we want to achieve?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The main idea of the MAESTRO-AI project is to stimulate innovative learning and teaching methods at universities in the age of artificial intelligence. The project aims to improve the quality of teaching, especially in mathematics and programming, by creating AI solutions that support the teaching process and monitor student progress, as well as developing new methods of engaging students.<\/span><\/p>\n

What activities are we going to implement?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We are going to produce two handbooks with examples of lessons in teaching higher mathematics and programming. We plan to conduct a teaching experiment and research about AI technologies important for education, write the guideline of ethic rules in using AI in education, organise winter school for teachers and students, integrate existing AI services in a comprehensive elearning environment with an online training program for AI assisted education<\/span><\/p>\n

What project results do we expect?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

– the report on the state of knowledge regarding examples and ethical guidelines for the use of AI in education,<\/span>
\n– two handbooks: on the use of AI in teaching programming and higher mathematics,<\/span>
\n– curriculum for a new course and an online training program for educators,<\/span>
\n– AI-enhanced E-learning Environment and training program,<\/span>
\n– dissemination through the website of the project, social media, conferences, publications,<\/span>
\n– dissemination report.<\/span><\/p>\n

Project duration:<\/strong> 1.09.2024 \u2013 31.01.2027 (29 months).<\/span><\/p>\n
