{"id":307,"date":"2022-03-02T09:19:41","date_gmt":"2022-03-02T08:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pb.edu.pl\/gep\/o-nas\/"},"modified":"2023-01-30T15:44:54","modified_gmt":"2023-01-30T14:44:54","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pb.edu.pl\/gep\/en\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About us"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The most important task of the Gender Equality Plan at Bialystok University of Technology is to promote, implement and monitor positive gender equality measures, in particular by promoting equality in academic careers or ensuring gender balance in decision-making processes and bodies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pb.edu.pl\/gep\/en\/gender-equality-plan\/\">The Gender Equality Plan (GEP)<\/a> contains four essential elements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>is a public document,<\/li>\n<li>provides for data collection and monitoring,<\/li>\n<li>envisages training and capacity-building for our University,<\/li>\n<li>designates specific resources for its implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment and Anti-Discrimination at Bialystok University of Technology, Joanna Szyd\u0142o, PhD, has already been appointed and will, among other things, act as the university&#8217;s point of contact and consultation on discrimination issues.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-sm-8\">\n<div class=\"embed-responsive embed-responsive-16by9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Najwa\u017cniejsze elementy i zadania Planu na rzecz R\u00f3wnouprawnienia P\u0142ci\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TGQV1VcxYmA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"ankieta\" class=\"href\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<hr>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft zespol-img wp-image-286\" src=\"https:\/\/pb.edu.pl\/gep\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/82\/2022\/03\/szydlo_joanna.jpg\" alt=\"Joanna Szyd\u0142o - Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment and Anti-Discrimination at Bialystok University of Technology\" width=\"200\" height=\"298\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pb.edu.pl\/gep\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/82\/2022\/03\/szydlo_joanna.jpg 600w, https:\/\/pb.edu.pl\/gep\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/82\/2022\/03\/szydlo_joanna-201x300.jpg 201w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:40px; display: block;\"><strong>Joanna Szyd\u0142o<\/strong> &#8211; PhD in economic sciences in the discipline of management science, philosopher and philologist.<\/p>\n<p>Academically, she deals with cultural aspects of management, values, ethics and communication issues.<\/p>\n<p>Her primary task is to undertake initiatives aimed at full respect and implementation of the principle of equal treatment and anti-discrimination on any grounds.<\/p>\n<p>Her tasks include promoting and disseminating knowledge relating to equal treatment and anti-discrimination standards, as well as implementing systemic equality solutions.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Discrimination is a form of unjustified and non-objective marginalisation of representatives of certain social groups based on stereotypes. This is why we are planning a series of systematic measures to build a culture of safety and respect, eliminating all inequalities on the basis of, inter alia, gender, age, disability, nationality, ethnic origin or religion.<\/p>\n<p>Equality and diversity are values that are of paramount importance not only in the day-to-day functioning in the professional environment, but also contribute to the development of science.
