The International School of Engineering (ISE) at Tianjin Chengjian University in China has 89 new graduates of first- and second-cycle studies in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering. The diplomas were presented by Assoc. Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, DSc., PhD, Eng., Rector of Bialystok University of Technology.<\/div>\n

Since 2021, Bialystok University of Technology, together with Cracow University of Technology and Tianjin Chengjian University, has been running a school educating young engineers from China. On 1 July 2026, the group of graduates of the International School of Engineering (ISE) was joined by 89 graduates of first- and second-cycle studies in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering conducted at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences of Bialystok University of Technology.<\/p>\n

\u2013 This ceremony is of particular significance in the history of our three partner universities: Tianjin Chengjian University, Bialystok University of Technology and Cracow University of Technology<\/em> \u2013 emphasises Assoc. Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, DSc., PhD, Eng., Rector of Bialystok University of Technology. \u2013 Cooperation between our universities has become an important element of our internationalisation strategy. Together, we have built true bridges enabling the exchange of knowledge, experience and academic cultures. We all remember that the beginnings of this cooperation coincided with a period of enormous challenges related to the global pandemic. We had to implement complex study programmes entirely remotely, also facing time differences. However, thanks to the commitment and passion of our academic and administrative staff \u2013 to whom I would like to express my highest appreciation \u2013 we not only overcame these difficulties, but also created a unique and elite educational pathway.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Rector of Bialystok University of Technology emphasises the importance of ISE graduates acquiring specialist knowledge in Poland and China<\/p>\n

\u2013 You have learned to cooperate, communicate and find your way in a truly international environment<\/em> \u2013 reminds Prof. Kosior-Kazberuk. \u2013 You possess a unique global perspective, and it comes with particular responsibility. The world and your country need engineers ready to face the challenges of the 21st century \u2013 from climate change to the development of sustainable infrastructure. I am convinced that you will use your talents to serve society, support the development of technological innovations and contribute to the successful development of your country.<\/em><\/p>\n

Prof. Wang Zhongliang, Rector of Tianjin Chengjian University, believes that completing ISE is not the end of the journey, but a new starting point towards becoming citizens of the world.<\/p>\n

Prof. Katarzyna Zabielska-Adamska, DSc., PhD, Eng., Head of the Department of Geotechnics, Roads and Surveying at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences of Bialystok University of Technology, conveyed a message to the graduates: preserve your enthusiasm for knowledge, and, without fearing the challenges of the industry, respect technical concepts from different countries and learn to integrate innovations. She also appealed to engineers to be responsible and remember about protecting the environment in which they live.<\/p>\n

Li Yuzhou, an ISE graduate, shared his observations on his development during his studies at Bialystok University of Technology.<\/p>\n

\u2013 I have deeply understood the true meaning of the words ‘the world is a textbook’<\/em> \u2013 says Yuzhou. \u2013 Faced with a different linguistic environment and cultural differences, I learned independent thinking and overcoming barriers in subject research.<\/em><\/p>\n

In 2026, the International School of Engineering was completed by the following number of students in Civil Engineering:<\/p>\n

30 students \u2013 first-cycle studies
\n15 students \u2013 master’s studies
\nIn Environmental Engineering:
\n34 students \u2013 first-cycle studies
\n10 students \u2013 master’s studies<\/p>\n

During the ceremony, diplomas were also awarded to ISE graduates who studied as part of classes jointly conducted by TCU and Cracow University of Technology in the fields of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. Graduation diplomas were presented to the students by the President of TCU, Prof. Wang Zhongliang, and the Rector of Cracow University of Technology, Prof. Andrzej Szarata, DSc., PhD, Eng.<\/p>\n
