Computer Science positively assessed by the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA)
21-09-2022This once again – following the positive assessment in 2016 – confirms that our University meets all the programme requirements concerning content and training methods, learning outcomes, academic staff competences, infrastructure and cooperation with external parties.
The PKA decision of 5 September 2022 reads: “The Presidium of the Polish Accreditation Committee hereby certifies that the educational process realised at Bialystok University of Technology allows the students of computer science to achieve the assumed learning outcomes for first and second degree programmes in general academic profile. All of the criteria specified in the regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 12 September 2018 on criteria of programme assessment (Dz.U. z 2018 r. poz. 1787 [Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1787]) specified in Annex 2 to the Statutes of the Polish Accreditation Committee being an appendix to the Resolution 4/2018 of the Polish Accreditation Committee of 13 December 2018, as amended, have been met, which, pursuant to para. 3 point 1 of Annex 3 to the Statutes of the Polish Accreditation Committee justifies the positive assessment”.
It is worth noting that all of the following programmes offered by the Faculty of Computer Science of BUT have been evaluated positively:
- Computer science
- Computer science and econometrics (2020 evaluation)
- Applied mathematics (2021 evaluation)
