Podlasie Anime Festival at Bialystok University of Technology. Cosplay competition at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering

Podlasie Anime Festival Moricon is the ninth edition of Podlaskie Anime Festival – an event addressed to all fans of broadly defined pop culture. It’s the oldest and the largest event of this type in Podlaskie voivodeship and each year it attracts hundreds of visitors of all ages. This year, the event will take place from 23 to 25 September at Bialystok University of Technology.

– Moricon is a continuation of the legacy of Podlaskie Anime Festival – a cultural and educational event that will soon celebrate its tenth anniversary and has won hearts of many fans of Eastern Asian culture – says Gabriela Guszcza, the main organiser of the Moricon Festival. – Moricon continues the tradition of Podlaskie Anime Festival according to the “from fans for fans” principle, precisely: from Podlaskie Association of Anime and Manga Enthusiasts Sakura no Ki for the local community of fans of pop culture in every form. We can already announce a wide range of lectures, classes and competitions, including the most important one – the Cosplay Competition of costumes and stage presence. For its purpose, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering will let us use the auditorium well known from the first editions of Podlaskie Anime Festival.

Moricon will be held from 23 to 25 September at Bialystok University of Technology. Lectures will take place in the building of the Faculty of Computer Science, and the costume and stage presence competition will take place in the auditorium of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, where the history of Podlaskie Anime Festival began.
