Between 4 and 8 December, during the International Training Week, our university is hosting 12 university teachers and administrative staff from our partner universities in Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Moldova, and Serbia.

‘Such meetings are an excellent opportunity to exchange experience and to talk about how to effectively encourage our students and staff to participate in programmes supporting mobility’, said Grazyna Jakimiuk from the BUT International Relations Office. ‘”International weeks” are quite a popular form of maintaining contacts with partner universities. They offer great opportunities to meet in person, see what other universities offer, and get to know their towns, cities, and regions. This makes cooperation better.’

On 4 December, our foreign guests were greeted by Prof. Marta Kosior-Kazberuk, Vice Rector for Education and International Cooperation: ‘We have been making efforts to develop cooperation with countries outside the European Union for a long time. Owing to co-financing our student and university staff mobility projects in the KA-107 area by the Erasmus+ Programme National Agency, we can host representatives from, for example, South America. I do hope that their stay at our University will intensify our contacts. Moreover, such events inform our students and staff which universities and countries they can visit for mobility.’

During their stay at our University, our guests of the International Training Week have an opportunity to visit all the BUT Faculties, and also to go sightseeing in Bialystok and the neighbouring areas.
