27 representatives of Polish universities attended the workshops hosted by the Chongqing Jiaotong University – the largest university in south-western China. The event was organised under the ‘One Belt One Road’ Polish-Chinese academic consortium of 23 universities from Poland and China (aiming mainly at intensifying the academic cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries under the New Silk Route Initiative – the Belt and Road Initiative). The intention letter to that effect was signed on 21 March 2017 at the Beijing University of Technology, with our university represented by its Rector, Prof. Lech Dzienis.

The workshop programme included mutual lectures of scientists from Polish and Chinese partner universities, the International Academic Workshop on knowledge and technology exchange as part of creating the New Silk Road in line with the ‘one belt and one road’ concept, study visits in the biggest Chinese logistic and production companies in Chongqing, and classes in Chinese traditions and culture.
